Coach/Dr. Briana Jegier has been passionate about the game of softball since she first stepped onto the field at the age of four. With more than 15 years of coaching experience in both recreational and competitive travel softball and baseball, she is dedicated to creating opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
Coach Jegier currently serves as the Softball Director for Germantown Softball, where she established the innovative Stars Program to bridge the gap between traditional recreational softball and competitive travel play. The program was designed to provide players with additional instruction, game experience, and a clear pathway to higher levels of competition, ensuring that every athlete has the opportunity to grow at a pace that matches their goals and abilities.
Driven by a vision to expand opportunities for youth softball, Dr. Jegier founded the 901 Rays Softball Organization and serves as its President. Under her leadership, 901 Rays is committed to providing a positive, development-focused environment where athletes can compete, build character, and achieve their personal and athletic goals.
Coach Jegier believes that softball is more than a sport—it is a lifelong opportunity to learn perseverance, leadership, teamwork, and resilience. Her coaching philosophy is simple:
"Softball is a game that should be played for as long as you can and as competitively as you can."
This belief guides her commitment to creating opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels. Whether introducing a young athlete to the game or helping experienced players compete at the next level, Coach Jegier works tirelessly to ensure that every player—and every child who dreams of playing someday—has a place to learn, compete, and thrive.
The culture she expects for her teams and 901 Rays is captured by one of her favorite quotes from legendary soccer player Mia Hamm:
"Somewhere behind the athlete you've become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back."
Coach Jegier knows that softball has given many blessings to her life, and those blessings drive her dedication to growing the game and empowering athletes to succeed both on and off the field.
